Concerns about Returning Back to Studio after Quarantine

Hi dancers and dance lovers! We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. As many of you know, we have been slowly preparing to re-open after months of being closed! Although there are no group classes and socials until further notice, private lessons will be offered with all COVID-19 precautions in place, including hand sanitizing, required wearing of masks, and a 6-ft distance between any individuals in the studio.

Many dancers have expressed concerns recently about returning to the studio. So, in this blog post, we’d like to address as many of these questions and concerns as we can.

Q: Will it be safe to take private lessons?

A: Yes it will. This worry is completely understandable and we want everyone to know that your health and safety comes before anything else! That is why we are taking every precaution possible to ensure that you can get back to dancing while still protecting yourself and your loved ones. Over the long break, the studio was fully cleaned and sanitized. We will be maintaining a high level of cleanliness once you return; both instructors and students will be required to sanitize hands upon entry. In addition, protective face coverings and a 6-ft distance between any persons in the studio will be required.

Q: I am worried about the impact that COVID-19 has had on small businesses, particularly dance studios. Will Le Pari be ok?

A: As of now, Le Pari is doing ok. However, we please ask for your continued support so that we can keep it this way! That is why we highly encourage our students to take online groups and private lessons until you are able to come in to the studio for in-person lessons.

Q: How long will it be before group classes and socials will be offered?

A: We are carefully monitoring the changes happening daily surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. As of now, we are waiting until we feel it is safe to do so. Although there is no set date yet for when socials and group classes can resume, please know that we miss ALL of our students very much. We are eagerly looking forward to the moment when we can share hugs and dance together! But in the meantime, we are staying connected by having weekly “virtual” socials every Friday at 8pm. We love seeing everyone’s faces, so please stop by our online socials whenever you can!

Q: Due to the long break from dancing, I am afraid that I may have forgotten certain steps or techniques. Will I be able to pick it back up again?

A: Absolutely. As a matter of fact, the BEST way to become a great dance partner is to be a great dancer, on your own! Although we may not be able to touch just yet, if you continue to practice your steps (footwork, balance, technique, style) by yourself, your future dance partners will thank you. 😊 Socials may be (temporarily) canceled, but you can always dance!

We instructors and staff at Le Pari are so excited to be able to welcome students back for one-on-one private lessons. We hope that some of your concerns were addressed in this blog post, however, if we left anything out (or if you have a question of your own), please let us know and we will be happy to add it on to here!

In the meanwhile, stay safe and healthy.

Xoxo
